In Corsica, what you book is mostly boats: Scandola, Girolata and the Calanques de Piana from Porto cost 50 to 75 € at the operators for 3 to 4 hours, Bonifacio and the Lavezzi islands 26 to 87 €. Canyoning runs from 55 to 80 € a head, and a GR20 day hike costs nothing; only the night in a hut has to be reserved. Trap number 1: the “from” price sits above a page that bundles several versions, from 1.5 to 3.5 hours for Porto. Here is how to spot it, what to book ahead and what to skip.
Things to do in Corsica at a glance: duration, price, booking
Every price dates from 6 October 2026 (the operators' own pages and the GetYourGuide platform) and moves with the season and the fuel price: a dated snapshot, not a promise. You book what needs a boat with few seats, a guide or a fixed date, and you skip what a trail gives you for free.
- Scandola, Girolata and Piana from Porto: 1.5 to 4 hours, 35 to 75 € depending on the route, 12 passengers at most on the small operators' boats.
- Bonifacio and the Lavezzi: cliff trip 26 € (1 h 05, no reservation), Lavezzi shuttle 37 €, half-day with swimming from 87 €.
- Canyoning: 55 to 80 € per person, swimming ability compulsory.
- GR20 in a day: 0 €; only the night in a hut has to be reserved.
- Season: boats from April to October, some to November; GR20 huts staffed from 16 May to 4 October 2026.

Scandola, Girolata and the Calanques de Piana by boat

The three sites form the “Gulf of Porto” World Heritage property (UNESCO, 1983). Scandola, a reserve since 1975, can only be seen from the water according to the operators; Girolata is reached by boat or on foot. The trip from Porto usually runs the Calanques, Capo Rosso, Girolata (a stop of about 30 minutes), then Scandola.
The operators' prices. Corse Adrenaline (Place de la Marine, Porto): 65 to 75 € for the 3 h 30 complete tour, departures at 9:00, 14:00 and 17:30, 12 passengers at most, Barnier tax (a nature-protection levy) included, full refund in bad weather. Le Pass'Partout: from 35 € (1 h 30, Piana only), from 50 € (3 hours, Scandola and Girolata), from 60 € (4 hours, the whole gulf). From Cargèse: 6 hours with 2 hours at Girolata from 65 €. Corse Adrenaline advises booking as early as possible, Porto Marine Evasion several days to weeks ahead in high season.
What GetYourGuide shows. The Corsica section listed 263 activities on 6 October 2026. For Porto: Piana and/or Scandola, 1.5 to 3.5 hours, from 40 € (4.8); Scandola and Girolata on a quiet hybrid boat, 3 to 4.5 hours, from 45 € (4.4 from nearly 940 reviews); a half-day Scandola and Piana, 3 hours, from 70 € (4.7 from 839). The live commentary is in French on all three pages and in English on two; the half-day tour adds an audio guide in eight languages. The pages we opened state free cancellation up to 24 hours before and “Reserve now, pay later”. They also show the duration, guide languages, meeting point, exclusions and a “what to bring” list.
Rules and news. Inside the reserve, anchoring is allowed in daylight only; scuba diving and recreational fishing are banned (Figaro Nautisme, 30 May 2026). For summer 2026 the authorities announced licences, quotas and QR codes for professionals, with fines in 2027 and no figures: book with a clear cancellation condition. Bonifacio from the sea and the Lavezzi islands

Bonifacio stands on limestone cliffs of more than 70 metres (according to one platform page); the old town, the caves and the rock face are best seen from the water. SPMB sells four trips at the harbour without a reservation: cliffs and caves (1 h 05, 26 €, children aged 4 to 12 16 €, free under 4), Lavezzi and Cavallo (2 hours, 40 €), the Lavezzi shuttle with landing (37 €) and sunset (1 h 30, 52 €). Only the trip at dusk (95 €, 6:30 pm) requires a reservation.
Small operators on the platform: “Visit Bonifacio by sea” (1.5 hours, from 48 €, 4.8 from 329 reviews), where the swim stop is no longer offered from 1 October; the Lavezzi half-day (from 87 €, 12 participants at most, mask and snorkel included, 4.8 from 213 reviews): a verified traveller wrote on 2 October 2026 that the 4 hours advertised had lasted only 3.

A quota on the Lavezzi. According to the press, 2,000 people at most may be ashore at once, with 150,000 landings at most mentioned for 2026 (L'Info Durable, 3 June 2022). Do you need to book? The sources disagree: SPMB says “sans réservation”, a guide dated 1 August 2026 says tickets are sold on site only, a magazine dated 2 August 2026 advises reserving in July and August and warns you can be turned away at the harbour. The shuttles run hourly from 9:00 to 16:00 and return until 17:30: in high summer, come early or choose a guaranteed seat.
There is no restaurant and no water point on the islands: bring water, lunch and sun protection. Dogs are banned (things to do in Corsica with a dog stop at the harbour here), as is camping; you stay on the marked trails. For a week in the south: One week in southern Corsica: beaches and nature.
Canyoning: the Richiusa, the Purcaraccia and what to check first

Canyoning is never done alone: wetsuit, helmet, harness and a guide. The platform's “Canyoning Corsica” section counted only two results on 6 October 2026, both in the Richiusa near Bocognano: the beginners' trip (3.5 hours, 65 €, 4.8 from 253 reviews, cancellation up to 2 days before) and the “sporty” version (4.5 hours, 75 €). The beginners' page states minimum age 9, compulsory swimming, about an hour's approach walk (“the hardest part”) and 2 hours in the water; meeting point Bocognano, 45 minutes from Ajaccio. Cruise passengers read 50 minutes by road from Ajaccio port: allow a margin for getting back on board.
The Bavella canyons are booked directly: Xtrem Sud Canyon shows 55 € (Pulischellu, 2 to 3 hours), 70 € (Vacca, 5 hours) and 80 € (Purcaraccia, 5 hours); Corse Montagne gives the Purcaraccia from 80 €, wetsuit, helmet and harness included, canyon shoes 10 € to rent. The minimum age depends on the operator (7, 9 or 12): read it before paying. On the season, a 2023 guide gives June to October; we found no official opening dates, so ask.
The GR20 in a day: what does not need booking

The GR20 has 16 stages (Calenzana in the north, Conca in the south). According to the regional park, the night in a hut or at a bivouac must be reserved on pnr-resa.corsica: in 2026, 20 € for a bunk, 12 € for a bivouac pitch, per person. Huts were staffed from 16 May to 4 October, so the season has just ended; booking for 2026 opened on 20 January, and we did not read a date for 2027.
A day is not a stage. The first (Calenzana to Ortu di u Piobbu) is 11.3 km with 1,450 m of climbing according to Outdooractive, and the sign at the start (photo) says 6 h 30; the only water point is the Ortiventi spring at about 2.5 km (gr20-infos). For a day without a hut, Vizzavona is better: the path to the Cascades des Anglais shares a stretch with the GR20, 2 to 3.5 hours return (5 to 8 km); station on the Ajaccio–Bastia line, free parking (full in July and August), swimming from June to September, very cold water.
Guided hikes are rare on the platform: seven results on 6 October 2026, mostly private outings from 300 € per group (up to 4 people), the whole GR20 as a 18-day trip from 1,542 €, no “GR20 in one day” activity. For more gorges on the mainland: Verdon Gorge in 3 days.
The traps on the booking page
- The “from” price: the Porto page at “from 40 €” bundles trips of 1.5 to 3.5 hours. Compare price per hour and route.
- The cancellation deadline: 24 hours for most boats, 2 days for the Richiusa.
- The duration: advertised is not real (3 hours instead of 4 on the Lavezzi). Ask for the time on the water.
- End of season: no more swim stop on “Bonifacio by sea” from 1 October.
- Exclusions: reduced mobility (Porto half-day), under 3 and pregnant women (Bonifacio), under 9 and non-swimmers (Richiusa).
- Language: live commentary is in French first, English on two of the three Porto pages we read.
Is the platform reliable? On Trustpilot, GetYourGuide stood on 6 October 2026 at 3.9 out of 5 from 56,632 reviews, 68 % five-star, 19 % one-star; on the boat and canyon trips we read, ratings are higher (4.4 to 4.9). The default order of the lists mixes popularity, rating, availability and revenue generated: read the latest comments. If the provider cancels, the help page says a full refund may be due. The “Corsica” section opens from the GetYourGuide France page.
Before you pay: the checklist
- Read the duration and route of the version, not only the “from” price.
- Check the cancellation line: 24 hours or 2 days; with “Reserve now, pay later”, the card is charged 72 hours before the start, according to the help page.
- Check the meeting point and departure harbour: Porto, Cargèse, Calvi and Ajaccio are far apart.
- Read the guide and audio-guide language, minimum age, exclusions and swimming requirement.
- Keep the voucher: your booking's cancellation condition is written on it.
